To the New Year!

January 1, 2010

I decided to put one last look up for the year 2009. And if your like me your ready for this year to be over, I’m ready for this decade to be over. It’s time for a new decade and better decisions. Ooh I’m excited :)

Any blogger worth her salt has to have a New Years post. Something fun and flirty to rock out the night with. The jacket is absolutely wonderful except for that stupid belt you can’t take off -_- I’m also in love with Tres Blah’s DU III Event skins. The hair is from Kookie’s and only 25L with two other colors in the pack.

Good luck in the New Year everyone \o/

Would you go Running to me

November 24, 2009

This was the first full on winter outfit I put together. It reminds me of where I live and the fact that it stays above the 40′s all winter. I know I already posted once today, but I’m about to leave on vacation tomorrow at 4 a.m… ugh… Seeing how I go on long spurts of paying no attention to this blog anyways new posts are probably welcome.

I love wearing beanies all year round and Mustache’s hair is so pretty and long, I couldn’t resist putting it on. The boots I have on (which you can’t see) are currently my favorite pair of shoes in the whole world, they’re just perfectly made :) In real life it’s fun to wear lot’s of layers on top to keep me toasty and something short on the bottom to keep myself from being too dressed up. I think that all of these things are a lot of fun to put on seperately and together.

I’m sorry for all my rambling in this blog and the fact that I is used way too much. I’m not the greatest writer, but I love fashion and writing about it (even if I can’t) and it’s also a lot of fun having someone out in this world reading my opinions and hopefully liking what I have to offer. So keep on reading I can only move on from here :D

Warm and Toasty

November 24, 2009

Winter has and always will be my favorite season. It gives so many possibilities for building up layers and textures for keeping me cozy. And these past couple of days all I’ve been doing is shopping, which makes my sl life worth living.

This look pretty much had no inspiration except for me to look good (which I think I do very well). There’s lot’s of goodies at the Shoe Expo, including these shoes and if you haven’t been, then what the hell? The glasses and tights I’m just madly in love with along with the dress… so pretty much everything I have on is love.

AS you can see the fatpack of skins from Lelutka are still unaffordable to me. It’s most likely because I never have a lot of money together at one time. I can’t get over how wonderful the boots are from Annex, they’re just amazingly textured and look so well worn that I wish they were apart of my rl wardrobe. I need to find the 50flats location at the Shoe Expo still, but it has some of the worst lag in the world so…. Look forward to another post soon :p

5 Years Time

October 15, 2009

This past week I’ve been checking out new stores and re visiting places I hadn’t seen in awhile. The inspiration for this look is the hair from !Lamb and the Limited Edition :) skin from Lelutka.Blog_2.1     The shoes are from 50flats, which probably has the best flats I’ve seen on SL. And the fact that I like them is pretty big because I’ve always loved heels. The necklace I got from Swallowtail my go to jewelry store. I’m loving some of Emery’s new release, including these jeans.

Blog 2.2

So the new Lelutka skins are to die for. As soon as I have the money. I will be buying a fat pack and most likely never changing skins again. Very recently I’ve been scanning SL for a new skin and have failed, until Eclat came out. The thicker brow is something I love in RL and even more in this skin. The lips are luscious… Anyways I feel that I have a very odd shape for most skins and when I find something that looks just right I instantly love it. My only problems with the skins though is that the make-up opinions seem to be a bit played out. Other than that, Win!

October 10, 2009

I haven’t updated for the longest time and for that I apologize. I’ve been in love with Emery’s fast skirt and haven’t been able to take it off for the longest time. So I’ve decided to make it the reason for the post :)

I decided to give the outfit a tougher look because it’s something I don’t normally do, but lately I’ve been favoring. As with every new outfit I buy, shopping for accessories is a must. Naith Smit Designs is where I bought the necklace and bracelet. I had to modify both seeing as they’re item’s for men, but over all work for everyone. Tattoo’s are something I almost never wear, but this design from Luck Inc. was a lot of fun.

Forgive my awful writing, it’s been awhile since I’ve blogged and it’s going to take me awhile to get re-acquainted with it. For now here’s a list of where everything’s from.

Late Night!

February 24, 2009

I’ve been feeling a little blue and laid back for the last couple of days. I’ve been listening to too much mopey music that leaves me sitting here bored out of my mind but mellow.  serena-blog51

It took awhile for me to get into today’s outfit. I was still stuck up on my last post and a bit too lazy to change out of it, but browsing through armidi’s scarves sparked a new outfit for me, the seemingly glowing  frost scarf with zig-zag lines going down started today’s outfit.

serena-blog52

Since I’ve been in such a mellow mood the style of the outfit will be more laid back.  This skin is one of my favorites from Lion Skins its made beautifully and is perfect for pictures. The new line comes in many different make-ups, some laid back and others a bit more out there. The skirt was the first thing I paired with the scarf because it adds some variety in the texture and over all style. The shoes and belt came next to even out the scarf adding a touch of hippie and rock edge to the piece. The top and gloves are part of the old line at Paper Couture and are most likely not available (sorry ^.^).

Quirk

February 22, 2009

In world today I spoke with my favorite blogger Uma Ceawlin (Love her blog sooo much) and asked her for some tips on how to improve my own blog. She helped me out so much with improving my image quality and is probably one of the nicest bloggers I’ve ever met.

I looked at my last couple of posts and noticed that they haven’t been all that quirky. So I put on some Frou Frou and began digging through my inventory for something to match the vibe I got from the music.

serena-blog-4

I know the main parts of the outfit consist of items from &bean but I’ve been in love with the design aesthetic of Keiko Morigi. Her clothing items are well detailed and add the perfect quirky, but fashionable touch to anyone’s wardrobe. I’m also loving the names of her clothing and the fact that the sleeves on the jacket are tintable.

serena-blog-41

I kept the styling simple to have the main focus be on &bean. I thought boots would go nicely with the short skirt and that the color would go nicely with my ensemble. I wanted the outfit to have an older vibe to it so I put a bra on and left it at that. The hair added the right touch of edgyness to the outfit.

Still Winter

February 22, 2009

I know most of you are ready for winter to be over, but I’m one of the few that wishes it would stay winter year round. Fall and winter are my two favorite seasons because the fashion gets better and there’s snow outside my window every morning I wake up. The only thing I’m looking forward to in the summer is not having to make a mad dash from the shower to my closet.

serena-blog-3_0041     MichaMi isn’t a relatively new store, but I recently discovered it late last night. The top I’m wearing is part of the Carmela outfit in Nude. The top has interesting seam lines, giving it a form fitting look. I love that the Carmela outfit comes in two different color options at no additional cost. This gives more versatility in how you would like to present yourself.

serena-blog-3_003

I decided a winter look would go well with the top. My first choice was an orange stole from *COCO* because of its size and details. I followed this with a necklace from Creamshop. The pants are from &bean one of the “it” shops of the moment and I chose them for the dressed up yet still laid back versatility they provide. The purse is something I happened upon by chance while browsing through my inventory for a bracelet that ended up completing the look.

Beauty Avatar Couture Releases

February 21, 2009

Although I wasn’t able to make it to Beauty Avatars release show I did manage to make it to their store shortly afterwards. I was simply blown away by the designs and attention to detail that were put into the latest releases. I picked my two favorite Dresses from the new line to show today.

serena-blog-2_0011

I saw the well designed sequins which instantly made it a must have for me. What else I love about this is the cute prim attachments that come along with it especially the bubble sleeves. The prim sock were also a nice touch to add something more to the outfit that gives you more options for the dress.

The next part was styling the dress. Of course new releases for me normally means stopping at every store I know to find the right accessories. The first one being the purse from ETD. I thought about using Maitreya shoes but noticed I used them too much so I opted for and equally well created and nicely designed open toed shoe from Armidi. I went on a mad search for a perfect bracelet, but couldn’t find one I thought glamorous enough. So I tp’ed down to Dela and got some lovely earrings instead of a bracelet. Sorry about the hair it’s just that I haven’t been able to take it off since I got it.

serena-blog-2_0012

Instantly, when I saw this piece I knew I was in love. From the well sculpted skirt with attaching feathers to the ruffled collar and sleeves. The colors are a nice shade and being red and black go well together. The texture of the dress and its shadings are highly detailed, realistic and impressively done. Now my favorite part of the dress is the skirt since it has a more original sculpty then your typical skirt and the skirt is form fitting until it begins to branch out a little below my hips.

For the styling I decided to keep it relatively simple, letting the main focus be the dress. Again trying to be more versatile I chose another pair of Armidi heels that caught my attention right off. For the hair I wanted it to be a shorter style so as not to interfere with the collar too much. I hadn’t been to Lelutka’s hair department for awhile so I scoped the place out and thought that Hera would go wonderfully with the flow of the outfit.
